Reconstructed from 2002 to 2003 to commemorate Pyotrozavodsk's 300th anniversary, the park is recognized as a landmark of landscape architecture. It is surrounded by Engels Street, Gogol Street, Herzen Street, and Zakamenka Alley.
Manager's Cottage

It reflects the administrative functions of the city and is associated with the management of Aleksandrovsky Cannon Foundry. The house is part of the protected architectural ensemble of Round Square formed in the 18th-19th centuries and representing Russian provincial classicism.
Ekateryninskaya Church

Ekaterininskaya Church is situated on Volnoy Street in Pyotrozavodsk. It is an architectural monument originally built as a wooden church. Construction of the stone temple began in the early 20th century but was only completed with exterior works before the start of World War I and revolution. Inside, the building has been repeatedly repaired and painted. A cemetery surrounded the church. A significant portion of funds for its construction was donated by merchant Yegor Sofushkin.

Since April 2007 it has been under the management of North-West Regional Directorate of Rail Stations.

Architectural design was developed by Alexander Ivanovich Postnikov with participation of Pietro Carlo Madden in late classical style. The church was built using funds from workers of Alexandrovsky factory, clergymen and Emperor Alexander I.

Its collection primarily comprises works from the Russian Museum, Tretyakov Gallery and Hermitage. Over 16 thousand exhibits are kept here, including a rich collection of Karelian icon painting (approximately 2,500 items), folk and decorative-applied arts of the region from the 19th to 20th centuries (about 2,000 pieces) and artworks related to the epic "Kalevala" (around 700 works). A special pride of the museum are the works of Pavel Filonov's pupils. Visitors can avail themselves of an audio guide available in three languages.

The monument to Pyotr I is installed in Pyotrozavodsk on Onezhnaya Embankment, near the waterfront park next to the Water Vokzale. It features a bronze sculpture of the emperor created in Adolf Morand's workshop in Saint Pyotrsburg. The pedestal is made from gray granite stone of Sortavala origin designed by Ippolit Antonovich Monigetti. The idea to install the monument arose as early as 1871, while its final location was determined in 1978.

Previously this square was called Freedom Square.
