Eternal Flame Memorial Complex and Unknown Soldier's Tomb

Memorial complex "Eternal Flame of Glory and Unknown Soldier's Tomb" opened in Pyotrozavodsk on June 28, 1969. It is situated on Eternal Flame Square and features a granite boulder with commemorative inscription. Remains of the Unknown Soldier found in Medvezhiegorodsky district are buried here. The complex honors the memory of heroes from both Civil and Great Patriotic Wars. The solemn opening coincided with the city's 25th anniversary of liberation.
