War Hero City Monument

In Pyotrozavodsk, on Kirov Square, there stands a memorial stele "City of Military Glory". Its height is 11.8 meters crowned with a bronze two-headed eagle. The basis for granting the city the honourable title was the outstanding military valor of its defenders. The title "City of Military Glory" was awarded to Pyotrozavodsk on April 6, 2015, while the monument solemnly opened on September 30, 2020. On the front side of the pedestal, an engraved decree awarding the title can be found.
