Petrozavodsk Military Glory Center

The Center of Military Glory of Petrozavodsk, which received the status of a public branch of the Victory Museum in 2021, was created on the initiative of Sergey Pirozhnikov, the founder of the "Osnova" Foundation, as a joint project with the city administration. The basis of the museum collection was formed by finds of Karelian search parties, items from private collections, and exhibits donated by collector Valery Lazarev. The exposition is dedicated to the history of the city's occupation in 1941–1944, sheds light on the history of concentration camps of that period, and in 2022, the Sword of Victory was installed here.
