Levashovsky Boulevard

Levashovsky Boulevard in the central part of Petrozavodsk is a landscaped walking area with a length of 650 meters, created in 1900 on the site of former 18th-century city defensive fortifications. It was named after Vladimir Levashov, the governor of Olonets, although during the Soviet period, from 1918, it was renamed in honor of Karl Liebknecht and Rosa Luxemburg. The historical name was returned to the boulevard on June 7, 1995. Since 2013, this object, included in the state register as a place of interest, has been an object of cultural heritage of local significance.
