National Theatre of Republic of Karelia

The National Theatre of the Republic of Karelia is located at Karl Marx Avenue, 19 in Pyotrozavodsk. Its primary goal is to preserve the Karelian and Veps languages and regional national culture through performances in four languages: Russian, Finnish, Karelian and Veps. The theatre plays a key role in the cultural life of the republic and in preserving its historical and linguistic heritage.
