Onega Embankment

Onega Embankment in Pyotrozavodsk starts from Lenin Avenue and leads to the "Onego" monument and Water Station. There is a sculpture park featuring works created by Pyotrosavodsk masters with participation from sister cities. Every winter there is Hyperborea Festival with snow and ice sculptures. In summer the embankment attracts visitors due to Onega Regatta. On holidays there are folk festivals and celebrations. It was officially opened on June 25th, 1994 and became the city's calling card.
