Luck Pouch Sculpture

The sculpture "Fortune Wallet" is situated on Onega Embankment in Pyotrozavodsk. Its author is Riga artist Aivars Kerlins. The object is made from stone quarried in Riga's Pauls quarry and resembles an antique wallet. According to local belief, touching it brings luck and wealth. On the metal clasp there is a inscription: "Pyotrozavodsk residents, be happy and wealthy!" The sculpture is a gift from Pyotrozavodsk's sister city Riga and part of the contemporary art composition of the embankment.
