Ekateryninskaya Church

Ekaterininskaya Church is situated on Volnoy Street in Pyotrozavodsk. It is an architectural monument originally built as a wooden church. Construction of the stone temple began in the early 20th century but was only completed with exterior works before the start of World War I and revolution. Inside, the building has been repeatedly repaired and painted. A cemetery surrounded the church. A significant portion of funds for its construction was donated by merchant Yegor Sofushkin.
