Governor's Park (Governor's Garden)

Governor's Park, situated between Karl Marx Street and Lenin Square, is one of the oldest in Pyotrozavodsk. Adjacent to the park is the former Governor's House, now the National Museum of Karelia. An open industrial history exhibition featuring iron structures and factory equipment can be found here. Reconstructed from 2002 to 2003 to commemorate Pyotrozavodsk's 300th anniversary, the park is recognized as a landmark of landscape architecture. It is surrounded by Engels Street, Gogol Street, Herzen Street, and Zakamenka Alley.
