Catholic Cathedral of Alexander Nevsky

Cathedral Church dedicated to Alexander Nevsky is located at Aleksandra Nevskogo Prospect, 32 in Pyotrozavodsk. Built between 1826 and 1832, it is one of the main Orthodox churches in Karelia and the cathedral church of Pyotrozavodsk and Karelian Eparchy. Architectural design was developed by Alexander Ivanovich Postnikov with participation of Pietro Carlo Madden in late classical style. The church was built using funds from workers of Alexandrovsky factory, clergymen and Emperor Alexander I.
