Alexandrovsky Triumphal Arch (Tsarskie Vorota)

Alexandrovskaya Triumphal Arch, also known as Tsarskie Vorota, is located in Krasnodar on Krasnaya Street. Built in the style of Moscow architecture from the 17th century, it has three arches and is a regional cultural heritage site. After being destroyed during the Soviet period, the arch was reconstructed in 2008, restoring its original decor. Instead of the original image of Saint Catherine the Great Martyr, today there is a monument to Saint Catherine. The arch was originally built for the arrival of Emperor Alexander III in Yekaterinodar.

The Military Cathedral of Alexander Nevsky in Krasnodar was reconstructed in 2003-2006 on the site of the previous church destroyed in 1932. It is a XIX-century architectural monument located at the beginning of Krasnaya Street, near Ekaterina Square. Inside there is a parish school and a library with thousands of books. In front of the cathedral stands a monument to saints Cyril and Methodius, designed by the Chernik brothers. The cathedral symbolizes the historical memory of Kuban Cossacks.

The main hall accommodates up to 1000 people, while the smaller hall is designed for performances with 152 seats. Famous actors and directors such as F. Chaliapin, L. Sobinov, and Vsevolod Meyerhold performed here. Each year, more than 130,000 visitors come to the theater.

The Krasnodar State Historical and Archaeological Museum-Reserve named after E.D. Felitsyna is located in Krasnodar on Gimnazicheskaya Street, 67. Founded in 1879, it houses a unique collection of "Ancient Gold of the Kuban" and artifacts including the skull of the Phanagoriya elephant over two million years old. Exhibitions include regalia and relics of the Kuban Cossack Army as well as permanent displays reflecting the history of the region from ancient times to present day. Annual visitor numbers exceed 600,000 making it the largest museum complex in the North Caucasus and an important cultural heritage site in Russia.

Krasnodarsky Regional Art Museum named after F.A. Kovalyonok located in historical buildings: "Engineer B. Shardanov House" (Red Street, 13) and "Ekateryndarskaya branch of State Bank" (Red Street, 15). Established in 1924 under the name A.V. Lunacharsky, later renamed in honor of artist F.A. Kovalyonok in 1993. Collection includes Japanese color woodblock prints from the XVIII to mid-XIX century, artworks by Netherlands from the XVI century, Russian art from the beginning of the XX century, including works by representatives of Russian avant-garde "Bubnovy Valet" and "Golubaya Roza". Also, there is a scientific library at the museum with over 13 thousand publications.

The Aurora Monument in Krasnodar is designed in Soviet constructivism style and symbolizes a Soviet Komsomolka-goddess of dawn. The sculpture made of wrought aluminum stands 14 meters high, including the base; the total height of the monument reaches 16.8 meters. Created by sculptor I. Shmagun and architect E. Lashuk with involvement of architect Evgeniy Seryukov, it was built in 1975 and serves as a city symbol situated on Krasnodar's main street adjacent to the cinema "Aurora".

In Krasnodar, in Ekaterinsky Square, there stands a monument to Catherine II created by sculptor Alexander Apollonov. The height of the empress figure is 4 meters; she holds a scepter and orb. The pedestal features the text of the Charter granted by Catherine II on June 30, 1792. On the monument are also depicted Prince Potyomkin-Tavrichesky and three first ataman chiefs: Golovaty, Beliy, and Chepega. The monument is made from bronze, iron, aluminum, and covered with real gold leaf. The original monument was opened in 1907, destroyed in 1920 and restored almost a century later in 2006.

Saint Catherine the Great Martyr Monument is located on Krasnaya Street in Krasnodar next to Triumphal Arch. The bronze monument, 8 meters high, was created by Moscow sculptors Dariya Uspenskaya and Vitaly Shanov and unveiled in April 2009. Surrounded by a cascade of colorful fountains, the monument has become a symbol of Saint Catherine's patronage over the city, formerly known as Ekaterinodar. Work on the monument took one and a half years.

Its distinctive feature involves no conventional deep basin; instead, jets erupt directly from a rectangular pool.

The Holy-Georgievsky Church is located in Krasnodar at Sedina Street, 170. Built in the Byzantine style, it features 11 blue domes and was consecrated on November 30, 1903 under the name of Saint George the Victorious. The church is one of the few surviving stone structures from the pre-revolutionary era in the city. Open daily from 7:00 to 19:00, it belongs to the Ekaterinodarskaya and Kuban Diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church and has three altars. It is unique because religious services were held continuously even during Soviet times.

St.-Ilya's Church in Krasnodar is located at the intersection of October and Pashkovskaya streets, at ulitsa Octoberskaya, 149. The main altar was consecrated in honor of the prophet God’s Elijah, the second altar dedicated to Saint Nikolay the Wonderworker. The church was returned to believers at the end of the 1980s after a long break. The idea for its construction arose during the cholera epidemic in Ekaterinodar in 1892. Consecration took place on August 2, 1990 by Archbishop Isidore. Restoration began in March 1990. The rectory served as the diocese administration from 1949 to 1963.

St-Troitsky Cathedral in Krasnodar located at Frunze Street, 65 was founded on October 3, 1899 to commemorate the rescue of the imperial family of Emperor Alexander III after a railway accident. The consecration took place in 1910. During World War II, an observation post was situated on its bell tower. After being closed in 1937, various institutions including "Kraiproject" institute were housed here. Currently, the cathedral is part of the spiritual educational complex together with Ekaterinodarskaya Spiritual Seminary. The architectural project of the cathedral was created by the main architect of the city of Ekaterinodar Ivan Malgerb.
