Krasnodar Academic Drama Theater named after M. Gorky, founded in 1920, located at Krasnaya Armyanskaya Street, 110. Over its history, it changed several names and received the Order of Labor Red Banner on its 60th anniversary. Since the 1970s, the theater has been housed in a modern building on Theatre Square. The main hall accommodates up to 1000 people, while the smaller hall is designed for performances with 152 seats. Famous actors and directors such as F. Chaliapin, L. Sobinov, and Vsevolod Meyerhold performed here. Each year, more than 130,000 visitors come to the theater.
