The monument to the Cossacks-founders of Kuban land is located in Krasnodar, on Krasnaya Street, near the regional administration. It was solemnly opened in 2005. The sculpture about 7.2 meters high symbolizes a Cossack-protector, enlightener and pioneer, sitting on a horse in traditional dress of Ukrainian Cossacks from the 18th century. This place has become an important gathering spot for Kuban Cossacks.
