Professor I.S. Kosenko Botanical Garden

The Botanical Garden named after Professor I.S. Kosenko is located in Krasnodar at Kalinina Street, 13. It was founded with the involvement of Ivan Kosenko and staff from Kuban Agricultural Institute. The garden serves as a scientific research base and educational site for students. Over five hundred species of grasses, trees and shrubs are represented here, along with greenhouses featuring exotic plants from tropical and subtropical regions. In 1992, the arboretum received botanical garden status and became a specially protected region's territory.
