Sunny Island Park

"Solnechny Ostrov" Park in Krasnodar is situated on the site of an ancient island with natural vegetation described as early as 1927 by doctor Sergey Ochapovsky. It features a chestnut oak named "Titan" over 150 years old, which is a nature monument. Surrounding oaks have ages reaching approximately 110 years. There are groves of pine trees, alleys of pyramidal oaks and limes, along with a stand of spruces. Altogether there are about 90 species of woody plants. Previously known as October 40th Anniversary Park.
