Krasnodarsky State Circus

The Krasnodar State Circus is located at 147 Rashpilevskaya St., Krasnodar. Its history begins with the first circus performances in Ekaterinodar in 1880 held in an improvised booth. A stationary wooden circus building appeared here in 1908 accommodating up to a thousand spectators. Among famous artists who performed on its stage were Mikhail Rumyantsev ("Karandash"), Oleg Popov, illusionist Igor Kio, the Zapashny and Kornilov dresser families. Since 2014, the institution has been a state autonomous cultural institution of the Krasnodar Region.
