Krasnodar Regional Fine Arts Museum F.A. Kovalenko

Krasnodar Regional Art Museum named after F.A. Kovaleiko is situated on Krasnaya Street in Krasnodar. It was founded by Fedor Kovaleiko in 1904 as an art gallery with additional literary and archaeological departments. During World War II, treasures were evacuated under the leadership of director Aleksandra Osipova and scientific staff member Mikhail Bogoyavlensky. After restoration, the building regained its original architectural appearance. Today, the museum's permanent exhibition covers Russian art from the late 16th century to the early 20th century, while under director Svetlana Zelenova significantly expanded the section of Soviet visual arts.
