Monument Aurora

Cinema "Avrora", situated on Krasnaya Street in Krasnodar, is the city's first widescreen cinema and an architectural monument. Its auditorium originally accommodated 1286 people, with an area of 5490.9 m². The building has been state-protected since 1981 and included in Russia's cultural heritage. The project was designed by architect Evgeniy Seryukov, who received a state award. The cinema was built on the site of an ancient Bronze Age kurgan. The sculptural composition of the monument was created by Ivan Shmagun and Evgeniy Lashuk.
