Alexandrovskaya Triumphal Arch (Tsar's Gates)

Alexandrovsky Triumphal Arch, also known as Tsar's Gates, is situated on Krasnaya Street (Aleksandrovskiy Boulevard) in Krasnodar. It was built in 1888 upon local merchants' initiative to welcome Emperor Alexander III. After its destruction in 1928 it was reconstructed in 2008 in the original style of Moscow architecture from the 17th century. Currently, it is a regional cultural heritage site. Originally, the arch featured an image of Saint Catherine the Great Martyr.
