In 1961, the theatre was named after the great Russian scientist Mikhail Vasilievich Lomonosov. The first performance by the permanent theatrical troupe took place in 1932 and was based on Maxim Gorky's play "On the Bottom".

Archangel's Gostiny Dvor is a historical building constructed between 1668-1684 on Pur-Navolok cape as a trading and defensive complex. Since 1981, it houses Archangel Regional Museum of Local Lore. It is the oldest surviving structure in the city after demolition of pre-Pyotrine churches by Soviet authorities.

A bronze sculpture 1.4 meters high commemorates the heroism of these animals that during World War II helped city residents and besieged Leningraders survive thanks to food obtained from them and the warmth of their skins.

All Saints' Church

All Saints' Church is located at Vologda Cemetery in Arkhangelsk, at Suvorova Street, 37. A stone church in late classical style was built from 1840 to 1843. After being closed in 1927 it was used as a warehouse and transit point, but in 1946 the church was returned to the diocese and services were resumed.
