Arkhangelsk, Embankment of Northern Dvina, between Karl Marx St and Freedom St
In Arkhangelsk, on the bank of the Northern Dvina River, a monument to a saving seal was installed and opened on May 6, 2010. A bronze sculpture 1.4 meters high commemorates the heroism of these animals that during World War II helped city residents and besieged Leningraders survive thanks to food obtained from them and the warmth of their skins.
