Gornje-Uspenski Nunnery

Gorny-Uspensky Female Monastery is located in Vologda at Burmaginov Street, 19A. It was founded in 1590 by elder Domniya. The name relates to the area called Gora and the church of Dormition of the Holy Virgin Mary. The monastery operates under the decree of the Holy Synod on December 24, 2015 and serves as a female diocese of the Vologda region.
