Archiepiscopal Courtyard

Archiepiscopal Court in Vologda — historical residence of Vologda archbishops and bishops since the 16th century. The complex includes stone walls built from 1671 to 1675, and buildings constructed over four centuries. Today, the Simonsky Corpus houses exhibits of the museum-reserve. Special significance has the Yosifovsky Corpus created upon order of bishop Yosif Zolotoy in 1769.
