Voskresensky Cathedral

The Voskresensky Cathedral in Cherepovets is situated on Cathedral Hill. It is one of the city's oldest landmarks, constructed between 1721-1756. The church distinguishes itself amidst the industrial scenery of the city through its architectural style. The initial chapel here dates back to the XIV century due to monks and the blessings of Sergius of Radonezh. Within the cathedral, there is a gilded iconostas, while the stone floors have been restored following damage caused by improper usage.
