Памятник преподобным Афанасию и Феодосию Череповецким

The monument to Sts. Афанасий and Феодосий of Cherepovets is located in Cherepovec on Sobornaya Hill near the Assumption Cathedral. The composition consists of two four-meter bronze statues of saints created by sculptor Aleksey Arkhipov from Saint Pyotrsburg. Афанасий is depicted with raised hands in monastic attire while Феодосий points to a hill where he had a vision. The monument was unveiled in October 1992 at the foundry of OJSC "Severstal". The saints founded the Assumption Monastery which later became the nucleus of the city of Cherepovec.
