Catholic Cathedral Venerables Afanasy and Feodosiya Cherepovetskikh

Cathedral Church of the Holy Fathers Afanasiy and Feodosy Cherepovetskikh is situated in Cherepovets city, on Makarinskaya Grove territory. The temple was built on the site of former Vereshchagin estate and initially marked with a votive cross. Construction began in 2006; it became the main cathedrals church of Cherepovets diocese and place of worship founded in the same year under blessing of archbishop Maximilian. During World War II, this location hosted a prisoner-of-war camp.
