The Church of the Icon of the Mother of God "Life-giving Spring" is located in Cherepovets on Lenin Street, building 1A. It was built at the end of the 19th century with funds from the Воскресенский cathedral and voluntary donations from believers. The distinctive feature of this stone construction is a cruciform shape and an unusual orientation to the cardinal points, which distinguishes it from traditional church architecture. The place where the church stands previously housed a small wooden structure of the same name from the 18th century.
