Volgograd Railway Station (I)

Volgograd-I Railway Station is situated on Volgograd's Pervaya Privokzalnaya Square. Built in 1954 by architects Alexander Kurovsky and Samuil Briskin, it became a regional architectural monument since 1997. Tower spires and interiors of the station are decorated with paintings depicting military and labor history of Stalingrad. Trains depart from here to various regions of Russia including Moscow, Saratov, Astrakhan, Rostov and Krasnodar.
