Hall of Military Glory

The Hall of Military Glory is situated on Mamaev Kurgan in Volgograd. It is a cylindrical structure with an open-topped circular opening whose diameter measures 40 meters. Inside this hall, which stands 13.5 meters high, there are 34 mosaicked mourning banners made from red smalt, each bearing the names of 7,200 defenders of Stalingrad. A pochet guard is also displayed here. The roof of the building features a round opening measuring 8 meters in diameter.
