Volgograd Musical Drama Cossack Theatre

Volgograd Musical and Dramatic Cossack Theater is situated on Akademicheskaya Street, 3. The building, previously known as Tsaritsyn's 4th Girls' Gymnasium, is a two-story structure with basement and attic featuring a rectangular layout. The theater is famous for its project "Night at the Cossack Theatre," which immerses viewers in the culture and history of cossacks. Vladimir Lyapichev was the first artistic director, while Pyotr Zaychenko played the leading role in the first premiere. Ensembles "Tsaritsyn" and "Stanishniki" operate under the theater's auspices. In 2011, the institution adopted its current name.
