Alexander Nevsky Cathedral in Volgograd is a copy of the historical temple destroyed in 1932. Groundbreaking for the new building took place in 2016. The consecration was performed by Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia. The main altar is dedicated to Prince Alexander Nevsky. The structure features diagonal towers and circumambulatory galleries, replicating the architectural forms of the former Tsaritsyn cathedral.
