Mikhail Panikhache Memorial

The monument to Mikhail Panikhachev is located in Volgograd on Metallurgov Avenue at the intersection with Taraschanets Street. It is dedicated to a sailor who performed a heroic act during the defense of Stalingrad by throwing a burning bottle filled with incendiary mixture onto an enemy tank. The sculpture depicts the hero in a dramatic moment of his feat, engulfed in flames.
