Volga-Don Canal History Museum

The Volga-Don Canal History Museum is located in Volgograd on Fadeeva Street, 35A. The museum's opening date is January 20, 1997, with new halls and a canal model officially unveiled on May 8, 2001. Exhibits include four thematic rooms: the first introduces the history of the Volga-Don waterway; the second shows current operation of hydro-engineering structures and shipping; the third focuses on the construction of the canal; while the fourth highlights ongoing work of water transport.
