Memorial Complex "Lysaya Gora"

Memorial complex "Lysaya Gora" is situated in Volgograd and is a federal cultural heritage site. It includes a mass grave for soldiers from the 64th Army who defended the southern sector of Stalingrad. Atop the hill there is a twenty-meter obelisk commemorating the defenders of the motherland. Its height was strategically significant during battles lasting from September 1942 to January 1943. On the obelisk is an engraved tribute to fallen heroes.
