Kazan Cathedral
Волгоград, ул. Липецкая, 10
The Stone Cross-shaped Kazan Cathedral in Volgograd is located at Lipetskaya Street, 10. The church was built by city residents from 1896 to 1899 and suffered greatly during the Battle of Stalingrad. After being closed in 1939 and converted into a bakery, the cathedral returned to believers after the war and underwent reconstruction in 2010, regaining its original appearance. The cathedral has a long history starting with the first church of the same name from the early 18th century.
