Heroes Avenue

Heroes Avenue in Volgograd - a boulevard 350 meters long situated between Lenin Prospect, Soviet Street and Chuykov Street. Surrounded by residential buildings in Stalinist Empire style. On roofs near entrances there are replicas of city orders awarded for mass heroism during the Battle of Stalingrad. 100 meters wide, it connects 62nd Army Embankment with Fallen Fighters Square. Designed post-war by architects led by Karo Alabyan.
