Udmurt Republic Museum of Fine Arts

Udmurt Republic Museum of Fine Arts opened in Izhevsk in 1980. It is the region's main art museum founded on works from the local historical museum's art department. Collection covers professional art of Udmurtia from the 20th to early 21st centuries including pieces by Russian, Soviet, Udmurtian and foreign artists. At opening over 500 paintings from late 18th century to early 20th century were transferred from Russian and Western collections.
