Alexander Nevsky Cathedral

Alexander Nevsky Cathedral - Orthodox church in Izhevsk built in 1823 in classicism style based on Semen Dudin's project using local cast iron instead of granite. Originally an episcopal cathedral of Izhevsk diocese, it was closed in 1929 and for long used for other purposes. The main altar dedicated to Saint Prince Alexander Nevsky. The southern annex consecrated to Saint Catherine.
