Yuri A. Gagarin Monument

Yuri Gagarin Monument in Izhevsk was opened on April 20, 2016. The sculpture was created by Izhorsk sculptor Pavel Medvedev. It is installed near the school where the future cosmonaut studied as a foundry worker. The opening took place to mark the 55th anniversary of man's first space flight and was blessed by Metropolitan of Izhevsk and Udmurtia Victorin. The monument is situated on the premises of Akson-holding factory.
