Glory to Science! (Eternal Student) Monument

Monument "Glory to Science!", known locally as "Eternal Student", stands in Izhevsk, in the Student Square. The sculpture is made of concrete and depicts a student holding an atomic model in his left hand. The model was inspired by Komsomol leader Viktor Kosenko, while the figure was modeled after trade union chairman Askolddomin. The monument was unveiled in 1964 and after a reconstruction in 2008 continues to delight city residents. Students from the Izhevsk State Technical Academy were involved in its creation.
