Crocodile Monument

In Izhevsk, on Sovetskaya Street, near the park adjacent to Central Square, there is a crocodile monument - an unusual city sculpture. Depicting an anthropomorphic crocodile in a business suit: frock coat, hat and bow tie. Made from iron and standing on an iron bench. The monument was installed in 2005 and became an example of postmodern art. A well-known history connects the name of the river Izh with a water reptile, hence the sculpture's image.
