Heroes of Labor Front Monument "Boys at the Machine"

The monument "Boys at the Lathe" is situated in Izhevsk's Kalashnikov Sculpture Garden on Student Street. It commemorates the labor feat of factory youth from Izhevsk during World War II. The sculpture depicts a group of eleven teenagers in overalls and fur hats working at lathes. Pilasters of the monument display historical documents and photos from the early 1940s. The composition recalls how youngsters replaced their fathers and older brothers at factories.
