National Library of Udmurt Republic

The National Library of the Udmurt Republic is situated in Izhevsk on Sovetskaya Street, 11. Established after the city received its town status in 1918, it serves as the region's largest scientific and cultural center. Since 1958, the library has acted as the state registrar for publications from Udmurtia. It houses a unique collection formed from various collections of Izhevsk enterprises and institutions. The library building features a monument to V.I. Lenin installed in 1958.
