Monument of Military and Labor Glory

The Monument to Military and Labor Glory in Izhevsk is situated on Karlutskaya Square. Its height is 10 meters, weight - about 14 tons. The complex includes a soldier statue, Eternal Flame and plaques with names of fallen soldiers. The monument honors the feat of residents of Udmurtia during World War II and was opened in 1967. It has the status of a historical and cultural monument of the republic. In 1992, next to the memorial, a bust of Hero of the Soviet Union Evgeniy Kungurtsov was moved.
