Izhorsky Zoo

Izhorsky Zoo is situated in Kirova Park, occupying an area of about 16 hectares. It features exhibits showcasing animals arranged according to zoogeographical and landscape principles. Visitors are provided with conditions closely resembling natural habitats for the animals, while they are separated from them by impact-resistant glass. In 2004, work began on the zoo's project, which soon became one of the popular recreation spots for Izhevsk residents and visitors. The emblem of the institution is Akela wolf.
