State Puppet Theatre of the Udmurt Republic

The State Puppet Theatre of the Udmurt Republic is situated in Izhevsk on Lomonosov Street, 9. Founded in 1935, it is the region's principal puppet theatre. During World War II, the troupe temporarily operated from private homes and hospitals. The theatre offers tours to visitors and boasts a rich history with its first performances organized by marionette directors under the guidance of Sergey Obraztsov.
