Tatar State Puppet Theatre "Ekiyat"

Tatar State Puppet Theatre "Ekiyat" is located in Kazan at Pyotrsburg Street, 57. In its unusual building resembling a magical palace, instead of regular benches in the dressing room thrones are installed, and the floor is tiled with a chessboard pattern. The theatre is known for performances in Tatar language and attracts audiences with the atmosphere of fairy tale thanks to stained-glass windows, towers and weather vanes that decorate the building at night under lighting.
