Tatar Academic State Opera and Ballet Theatre named after Musa Dzhalyul

Tatar Academic State Opera and Ballet Theatre named after Musa Dzhalyul located on Freedom Square in Kazan. The building of the theatre, built in 1956, bears the name of a famous Tatar poet-hero. The theater regularly hosts international opera and ballet performances, continuing the tradition of theatrical art initiated in 1791. It is one of the oldest theaters in the city.
