Kazan Cathedral

The Cathedral of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God is located in Kazan at ulitsa Bolshaya Krasnaya, 5. This place is associated with the discovery of the miraculous Kazan Icon of the Mother of God. The main Kazan Cathedral was destroyed in 1932 but by 2021 it was restored as part of a large-scale project to revive the historical complex. Nearby is the Kazan-Bogoroditsky women's monastery founded in 1579.
